Gas from Su Tu Trang will be first delivered to the mainland through Bach Ho (White Tiger) gas field’s 117km pipeline and processed at Dinh Co 2 plant to turn out liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and condensate.

More drilling and central processing rigs will be added in the second phase of Su Tu Trang to reach an expected volume of 1.5 billion cubic meters (cbm) between 2020 and 2035.

The gas will be then delivered to the Dinh Co 2 gas processing plant whose construction is expected for completion in the last quarter of 2020 with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons of LPG, 170,000 tons of condensate and 200,000 tons of ethane to provide to Long Son Petrochemicals Company Limited.

Under the agreement in principle with PVEP, PV Gas will hold a 25% stake in this project, whose total capital is US$500 million.

PV Gas has developed relatively complete industrial gas infrastructure during its 26 years of operation with Cuu Long, Nam Con Son, PM3-Ca Mau and Ham Rong - Thai Binh gas systems and a nationwide system of production, trading and distribution, worth over VND59.5 trillion.

It supplies gas for thermal power plants which are responsible for about 30% of national electricity output and 70% of urea fertilizer plants’ demand nationwide. PV Gas also accounts for around 70% of LPG supply for both industrial and civil uses in the country.
