AsemconnectVietnam - According to the Dispatch No. 49/BC-BQCLPTPQ, FLC Group is selected by the Management Board for Investment and Development of Phu Quoc Island to submit to the Kien Giang People’s Committee for its approval to become an investor of the Bai Vong project with the scale of 28 trillion dong.

The proposal by the management board is given on the basis of considering the capacity, experience, finance as well as the proposal of the FLC Group on investment in Bai Vong international golf course and tourism and resort complex.

The project scale is 577 hectares with a total investment of 28 trillion dong. The project is located right at the centre of the island, near Phu Quoc airport. This will also be one of the large-scale projects in the field of eco-tourism in Phu Quoc with the purpose of investing in an international golf course and tourism and resort complex equipped with modern technological infrastructure and a world-class eco-tourism area. The project will be divided into three stages, completed within five years, in which the first stage will be put into operation in 16 months since the construction started.

The Investment Management Board said, the FLC’s investment will be a driving force to promote the development of the whole Bai Vong tourism area in particular and Phu Quoc in general and at the same time will have a widespread influence on other investors to accelerate the project implementation progress.

Therefore, this will be the second international standard resort project that FLC is promoting the investment. Earlier, at the beginning of May 2014, FLC held the groundbreaking ceremony of the FLC Samson Golf Links and Resort project in Thanh Hoa province with links-modeled golf course, and a five-star amusement and resort area with the scale of 5.5 trillion dong.

Most recently, FLC was also selected by Khanh Hoa People’s Committee to be the implementer of the province’s biggest Build-Transfer (BT) project, which is the new administrative centre area worth more than 7 trillion dong.
