AsemconnectVietnam - After more than 10 years of construction and development (2008 - 2019), by pioneering investment and application of modern technology in aviation fueling, Tan Son Nhat Petrol Commercial Joint Stock Company (Tapetco) has grown to become a prestigious brand in the market, trusted and selected by international airlines.
In 2008, Tapetco was established when the aviation industry of the world and Vietnam kept growing strongly. To catch up with sectoral development, Vietnam’s aviation industry had to make great efforts to meet increasing requirements and technical standards, especially in fuel supply safety at airports.
With the mission of delivering fuel reception, storage and fueling services for professional aircraft, meeting international standards at Vietnamese civil airports, Tapetco is a pioneer in investing, applying modern aviation fueling technology techniques. Tapetco now possesses the most modern infrastructure system at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, with the main systems including the Jet A-1 fueling system, automatic monitor and control systems, fire protection systems, fuel testing laboratories, refueling vehicles, sanitary and maintenance vehicles, and wastewater treatment systems.
Tapetco was assessed and certified for eligibility for operation and supply of international standard fueling services by international organizations such as the IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP) under the International Air Transport Association (AITA) and the Joint Inspection Group (JIG - the world-leading organization for the development of aviation fuel supply standards). We have also built and operated the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system.
To ensure fuel quality control, Tapetco invested in building and operating a testing laboratory that meets the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 international standard on requirements to ensure the capacity of the laboratory and calibration, accredited by the Bureau of Accreditation (BoA). The Tapetco laboratory is also a member of the Proficiency Testing Programmer, joining reference labs around the world through the American Association of Testing and Materials (ASTM).
Officially put into operation in November 2016, Tapetco's underground fueling system was designed under the latest international standards by Skytanking NV (Belgium). Tapetco has so far safely and effectively fueled more than 75,150 flights at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The operation process, strictly compliant with international standards and Vietnamese laws, helps Tapetco confidently assert its brand reputation in the Vietnamese and international aviation industries.
To obtain such achievements, Tapetco has determined and seriously carried out a sustainable development strategy based on the balanced combination of modern and advanced technology, freeing up manual labor, making long-term investment for community benefits, ensuring the living environment towards sustainable development.
While boosting modern technological application, Tapetco also prioritizes training and developing high-quality human resources and regards this as an important factor to determine the success or failure of the business. Tapetco’s employees are young, qualified and professional at work. In addition, Tapetco maintains regular and continuous training programs to update knowledge and information for employees to meet standard requirements and improve operational quality.
Tapetco has a great advantage as compared to other peers as Tapetco has the opportunity to access and apply the most modern technology as soon as we start building our system. Tapetco’s operations are fully automated, powered by modern equipment to ensure a high level of safety and strictly control of the entire operation process.
In order to improve service quality, Tapetco recently invested in running export and import management software, enabling its employees to fill fuel and issue invoices automatically right after loading, helping improve transparency, accuracy and timeliness of information about goods and services between Tapetco and its partners and customers. This software application eliminates human errors and reduces the time of fueling flights, thereby helping shorten ground time and ensure flight departure time - a very important requirement of airlines in particular and services at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in general.
Tapetco is also running the AMOS Program - a professional equipment management, maintenance and control program - to ensure continuous operation and increase the reliability of technical systems.
Currently at Tan Son Nhat International Airport there are many aviation fueling companies, but Tapetco is the only provider of fueling services with an underground piping system - the most modern technology.
Tapetco is carrying out development projects nationwide, in both scale and scope of operations, based on modern technological application. Since October 29, 2019, Tapetco has become one of fully-fledged aviation fuel suppliers that fully meets the most modern standard requirements. Tapetco really hopes that this development approach will help improve the quality of Vietnam's aviation services in the international market.
