India hosted the 11th ASEM Foreign Ministers Meeting (FMM11) from 11–12 November 2013 in New Delhi, India. The theme for the ASEM FMM11 was “Bridge to Partnership for Growth and Development”.
In line with the above objective, ASEM members could strengthen Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) led co–operation and industrial R&D. ASEM countries have achieved significant technological capabilities in various areas and can benefit immensely from complementarities, synergies and co–operation at the multilateral level.
The objective of the roundtable would be to strengthen Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) led co–operation between India and ASEM member countries and identify technologies that can be targeted for joint industrial R&D and pilot demonstration projects under priority areas such as Life Science, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology & Medical devices.
This roundtable will be held on sidelines of Knowledgexpo, the biggest global knowledge business partnership platform.
