The events mark a milestone as this is the first time these exhibitions have been held in Vietnam, which is seen as a pathway to further development of industrial sectors and supporting industries. The events are expected to offer a venue for businesses to devise production strategies with the application of advanced technologies in 2019 and beyond.

Nguyen Phuong Dong, deputy director of HCM City Department of Industry and Trade, said hosting these expositions is of great significance as it supports businesses in the city. In addition, supporting firms are able to introduce their products and connect markets, thus encouraging businesses to reform further and improve their production and supply capacity in order to gradually get involved in the global supply chain.

On display at the 450 pavilions will be the products in the fields of automation systems, hi-tech products in the supporting industry, metalworking machines and tools, electric equipment, industrial materials and machinery in the construction sector.

The expositions have also attracted a number of popular brands such as Doosan Infracore, Century Precision, DaeJin Hydraudic, Shin Myung Electric MFG and 3A Engineering. In addition, the presence of a number of Korean associations and alliances has proved that these events are attractive destinations for both local and foreign investors to seek partners and gain entry into new markets.

Dong-Youn Sohn, the CEO of the Korean Association of Machinery Industry (KOAMI),underscored the importance of the events for businesses, industrial providers and producers to penetrate the Vietnamese market.

Moreover, the Korean Institute of Industrial Technology will provide training courses for engineers at the event to provide them with essential skills to operate integrated smart technologies.
