Vietnam, Russia look towards stronger partnership
Tuesday, November 20,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev have consented to step up bilateral cooperation on security, defence cooperation, science-technology, culture, tourism, education-training, and labour during their talks in Hanoi on November 19.
The two PMs concurred to coordinate closely in organizing the Vietnam Year in Russia and the Russia Year in Vietnam in 2019 and 2020, on the occasion of 25 years since the signing of the Agreement on Basic Principles for Vietnam-Russia Friendship and the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
They affirmed their commitment to implement a US$350 million Nuclear Science and Technology Centre, while calling for stronger cooperation to develop urban transport infrastructure and railways in Vietnam.
