US$ 1.12 billion earned from exports to Russia in 8 months

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam exported US$ 1.12 billion worth of goods to Russia in the first eight months of this year, down by 8.84 per cent over the same period last year, according to the preliminary statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
In August only, the country earned $ 157.8 million from exports to Russia, down 3.7 per cent month – on – month.
Cell phones and accessories were leading in the list of commodities exported by the country to Russia in the first eight months of the year with $ 439.9 million, down by 16.2 per cent over the same period of 2013, and accounted for 39 per cent of the total.
Textiles and garments ranked second with $ 98.8 million, up by 11.57 per cent. In August only, the country exported $ 10.6 million worth of textiles and garments to Russia.
The other items exported to Russia included coffee, footwear, cashew nuts, fruits and vegetables, pepper, etc.
