COVID-19: No new case recorded on April 6 morning, 91 discharged
Monday, April 6,2020AsemconnectVietnam - As of 6 am on April 6 morning, no positive coronavirus case has been reported in Vietnam, with 91 in total being released from hospital, according to the Ministry of Health.
As a result, the overall number of coronavirus cases in the country remained at 241, including 150 returning home from abroad (62.2%), and 91 being secondary infections.
According to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the Government's Directive No 16 on social distancing have been well implemented over the past 5 days in many cities and provinces across the nation.
As of April 5, there remained 3,154 suspected cases nationwide, who are being in quarantine and suffering strict monitoring. The total number of close contacts and entries from epidemic-hit areas under health monitoring (isolation) are 67,273, of which 1,277 are placed in concentrated isolation at hospitals, 42,004 at other quarantine facilities, and 23,992 are in home isolation or at their places of residence.
More than 78,400 people throughout the country have completed a 14-day quarantine period and returned home.
The Ministry of Health continues to closely monitor the disease situation throughout the country, especially the outbreak at Bach Mai Hospital, Truong Sinh Company in Hanoi, and Buddah Bar in Ho Chi Minh City while intensifying medical isolation, and sampling suspected cases for testing.
