Exports of goods to India reached 6.67 billion USD in 2019

AsemconnectVietnam - According to preliminary statistics of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in 2019, the total value of Vietnam's goods exported to the Indian market increased slightly by 2.01 per cent, reaching 6.67 billion USD.
However, in December of 2019 alone, the country’s exports of goods to India decreased by 10.8 per cent compared to the previous month, reaching only 402 million USD.
There were 2 groups of items that earned over 1 billion USD in 2019, included phones of all kinds and components reached 1.27 billion USD, accounting for 19.08 per cent, up by 56.39 per cent over the same period last year; computers, electronic products and components - 1.14 billion USD, accounting for 17.14 per cent of the total market share, up by 42.83 per cent.
Bamboo, rattan, sedge and carpet products got the strongest turnover growth of 142.31 per cent. However, this group of items only accounted for a small proportion of 0.2 per cent, reaching 13.65 million USD.
