Exports of telephones and components increased over 32%
Thursday, May 24,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam earned nearly US$ 16.08 billion from exports of telephones and components in the first four months of this year, increased by 32.4 per cent over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
In the first four months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of telephones and components to EU accounted for 28 per cent of the total with $ 4.5 billion, up by 28 per cent year – on – year; to China - $ 1.79 billion; to the U.S - $ 1.71 billion, up by 22.6 per cent; to the U.A.E - $ 1.57 billion, up by 25.5 per cent; to South Korea - $ 1.54 billion, up by 38.2 per cent.
In the period, the country’s exports of telephones and components to China increased sharply by 422 per cent to nearly $ 1.79 billion; to Cambodia – up by 143 per cent to $ 15.81 million; to Japan – up by 110.4 per cent to $ 194.58 million; to Austria – up by 106.6 per cent to $ 1.49 billion; to Turkey – up by 67.7 per cent to $ 307.95 million; to the Philippines – up by 57.5 per cent to $ 160.64 million; to India – up by 56.9 per cent to $ 248.63 million.
However, the exports of telephones and components to Italy fell sharply by 99.5 per cent to $ 2.18 million; to Mexico – down by 92 per cent to $ 22.51 million; to Indonesia – down by 59.6 per cent to $ 96.62 million.
