China was the country’s biggest fruit and vegetable export market in the period with $ 502.06 million, up by 62 per cent year – on – year and accounted for 77.3 per cent of the total market share.

It was followed by the South East Asian countries with $ 28.18 million, up by 20.2 per cent; the U.S - $ 18.48 million, up by 23.9 per cent; Japan - $ 17.47 million, up by 38 per cent; EU - $ 14.88 per cent, up by 30.7 per cent; and South Korea - $ 13.17 million, up by 4.7 per cent.

In the first two months of this year, the country’s exports of fruits and vegetables to Kuwait increased sharply by 223.5 per cent to $ 0.44 million; to Cambodia – up by 154.2 per cent to $ 0.27 million; to Italy – up by 80.7 per cent to $ 0.5 million; and to France – up by 5.4 per cent to $ 3.87 million.

However, the exports of fruits and vegetables to Indonesia decreased by 70 per cent to $ 0.09 million; to Britain – down by 23 per cent to $ 0.76 million; to Russia – down by 21.7 per cent to $ 4.64 million; and to Hong Kong – down by 5.1 per cent to $ 2.71 million.
