Exports of fruits and vegetables reached over US$ 3.4 billion
Monday, January 15,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s agricultural sector had a very successful year of 2017 with the record export turnover of US$ 36.3 billion, up by 13 per cent over 2016.
The country’s exports of major farm products were estimated at $ 18.96 billion, up by 15.7 per cent year – on – year.
Especially, the exports of fruits and vegetables reached $ 3.45 billion, up by 40.5 per cent over the previous year.
The leading 10 export markets of fruits and vegetables in 2017 were China – with 75.6 per cent of the total market share; Japan – 3.64 per cent; the U.S – 2.94 per cent; South Korea – 2.59 per cent; the Netherlands – 1.81 per cent; Malaysia – 1.43 per cent; Taipei – China – 1.33 per cent; Thailand – 1.03 per cent; the U.A.E – 1.01 per cent; Russia – 0.85 per cent.
Last year, Vienam’s mangos had been permitted to export to the U.S market.
