Vietnam posts $2.92 bln trade surplus in 2017
Sunday, January 14,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam posted a trade surplus of $2.92 billion in 2017, up from a $2.52 billion surplus a year earlier, the customs department said.
Exports last year jumped 21.2 percent to $214.02 billion, while imports rose 20.8 percent to $211.1 billion, Vietnam Customs said on its website.
The Southeast Asian nation posted a trade deficit of $233.5 million in December, with exports down 1.7 percent from a month earlier to $19.7 billion, while imports increased 2.5 percent from November to $19.9 billion, the report said.
