AsemconnectVietnam - The Vietnam national women’s football team have risen up one spot to No 36 in FIFA’s latest world rankings.
The team entered the quarter-finals of the Asian Games in Indonesia in August. This result helped VN improve their rankings with 1,638 points.
Vietnam remain seventh in Asia, behind rivals Thailand in sixth.
The top five teams in Asia are Australia, world No 6, Japan (No 7), the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (No 11), the Republic of Korea (No 14) and China (No 15). The world’s top three belongs to the US, Germany and England.
