Book festival to return to HCM City in March next year
Monday, December 11,2017AsemconnectVietnam - The 10th Ho Chi Minh City Book Festival will return to Le Van Tam Park in District 1 from March 19-25, 2018 with over 35 million copies of books planned for display.
The festival, themed “Books – Culture, Integration and Development”, will feature about 800 stalls of 200 domestic and foreign publishers and distributors who will bring to the fair around 350,000 titles of books, the city’s department of Information and Communications announced at a press conference on December 7.
Book lovers to the event will be offered discounts of up to 20 percent on all books and stationery and special deals of up to 50 percent discount will be given during the last three days of the event.
An exhibition on the annual HCM City Book Festival over the past decade will be held on the sidelines of the fair.
Speaking at the press conference, Director of the Department of Information and Communications Duong Anh Duc said the festival is intended to nurture reading culture among local people and provide an opportunity for book lovers to meet with authors and get to know about new publications.
