FPT cooperates with Japan partner to offer tech solutions
Thursday, December 7,2017AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnamese tech firm FPT Corporation and Japan’s Daiwa Institute of Research Holdings Ltd on December 5 struck a strategic cooperation agreement on research and development of new technology solutions.
Under the deal, the two organizations will work together to study, develop and offer value-added solutions and services based on artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, image identification and real-time data analytics, as well as blockchain, the world’s leading software platform for digital assets.
The two sides will develop chatbot services for Japanese corporations. In particular, FPT will provide chatbot platforms while the institute will dispatch its technology experts to Vietnam to support the development of chatbot tools and procedures in the Japanese language.
They will develop integrated systems of artificial intelligence technology, and multi-interface support in order to meet various needs of their customers.
In addition, they will apply image identification and real-time data analytics to the financial sector. Earlier, FPT succeeded in developing self-propelled vehicles on a trial basis thanks to this technology.
“Given the experience and expertise in providing the latest technology solutions for Daiwa Securities Group Inc, the institute expects this cooperation will create new value for bolstering the growth of the Japanese information technology sector,” said Yoriyuki Kusaki, president of the Daiwa Institute of Research.
FPT chairman Truong Gia Binh said this is the first time FPT has teamed up with a leading Japanese research institute to develop state-of-the-art technologies. Speed is the key to success in the fourth industrial revolution, so this cooperation is the driving force for the two sides to speed up the pace of technology development, and quickly offer solutions and applications to global companies.
Late last year, FPT and the Daiwa Institute of Research BI clinched a cooperation deal to provide cloud services for enterprises whose operations are related to the Internet of Things.
